Use the following custodians for commonly requested Otero County records:

- Arrest, booking, and jail records: begin with the Otero County directory and switchboard because no stable sheriff records-desk page was verified
- Name-based state checks: use the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Internet Criminal History Check System
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record sealing: use Colorado Judicial Branch forms and file through the court that handled the case
